I’ve talked before about “Planting Seeds” online. I have a good example today for you.
About 5 years ago I made a health related web site. This was back when I was VERY wet behind the ears when it came to web marketing.

I did it all wrong and the 10 page site never got much traffic and made only a few bucks a year with AdSense the first few years.

I chalked it up to a “learning experience” and continued on my way.
But over the past year something has happened. Yahoo has, for some reason, started showing pages for a few keywords. Google is sending a bit of traffic too.

I assume one thing that may have kick-started the rankings is the domain’s age. That is just one of many factors the search engines (especially Google) use to rank pages. They respect older domains slightly more.

The site is making about $5.00 a day now in AdSense. I have not worked on it for years and do not plan to in the future. I know $150 a month is not a lot of money. But hey! It requires zero work on my part and the domain only costs $10 a year. (The hosting is an add-on account, so there is no extra cost for hosting.)

THAT is what I mean when I speak of planting seeds. You have to see the big picture in all you do online right now. You may not see immediate results. In fact, you probably won’t.
You have to trust enough in what you are doing to plant those seeds without getting discouraged or becoming frustrated and impatient!

Learn SEO and Internet marketing correctly and then APPLY plenty of action. That’s really all that is required for online success.
Now go get busy planting those seeds!
